Chefs great food in bustling Bella Vista

Fried Eggs with bacon and grilled tomato, housemade chimmichurri and sonoma sourdoughTake a drive during business hours along Lexington Drive Bella Vista and the first thing you will notice is the lack of parking spaces, soon followed by the steady flow of traffic. This area is fast becoming its very own Metropolis filled with medical, financial and commercial entities, including Woolworths’ Head Office.

Neatly situated on a corner of Lexington Corporate business sector is Chefs Café, providing a much needed place of serenity amongst all the hustle and bustle of the business park. Making the most of their car park location, bi-fold doors open up
the small space onto the footpath, with plenty of umbrellas and
outdoor tables to enjoy alfresco dining.

Mindful of local early risers, shift workers, and commuters, Chefs Café opens at 6:30am on weekdays with take away just as popular at taking the time to eat in. However throughout the day this place is popular with every walk of life, from Mums to Gym Junkies, Norwest Link Developers to Medical Staff, and Executives to Retirees.

Adore Estate boutique ‘Jackson 5’ blendWhile they don’t have an extensive menu, the selection is fresh and healthy and offers a variety that you won’t find anywhere else close by.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 11am weekdays and all day Saturday. The menu includes a Breakfast Sundae of fat free yoghurt, toasted muesli and seasonal fruit, Cinnamon Brioche French Toast with cream, fruit and maple syrup, the ultimate Ham and Cheese Toastie ‘Croque Monsieur’ and Haloumi Bruschetta with roasted field mushroom, baby spinach, poached egg on sourdough with pesto.

Eggs are served a multiple of ways to satisfy meat loves with bacon or chorizo, while vegetarians will be satisfied by the addition of avocado, pumpkin, mushroom, tomato and spinach. The basic ‘Eggs on Toast’ come made to your liking with a side of house made chimmichurri and your choice of Organic Sourdough. Sides include hash browns, avocado, feta, baby spinach, bacon, salmon, chorizo and haloumi and the bread can be substituted for a Gluten free option.

with avocado and fresh baby spinach on sonoma sourdough

The Eggs Benedict is one of the best I have tried, served with fresh baby spinach on sourdough with the hollandaise on the side. Accompanying options include the usual bacon, ham or smoked salmon, but I was pleasantly surprised by the avocado alternative which did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked eggs, sitting on crunchy sourdough, with the added freshness of spinach to balance out the richness of the hollandaise is just delicious.

shredded lamb, greek salad, salsa, danish feta and tzatzikiThe Lunch Menu includes a delectable assortment of Deli Style Sandwiches including Parmesan Crumbed Chicken, Classic Turkey with avocado and spinach, Smoked Salmon with cream cheese and capers and my favourite – the Veggie Crunch. This perfectly presented sandwich includes vegetable and chickpea patties, tomato chilli jam, spinach, sweet potato crisps (yes actually on the sandwich) and mayo. There are a range of breads to choose from and toasting your sandwich is complimentary if desired. The delicious combination of colourful fresh vegetables with a yummy sweet chili sauce, creamy mayo and crunchy crisp sweet potato is impeccably proportioned to not fall out everywhere – which is great if you need to eat on the run. Likewise the Greek Lamb Wrap of marinated shredded lamb, greek salad, salsa, danish feta and tzatziki, offers a great blend of flavours and is proportioned well to not fall out everywhere.

After a good healthy breakfast or lunch it’s hard not to treat yourself with one of their delicious desserts. The generous sized portions of these moist flavoursome sweet indulgences are too tempting to leave without trying, or taking away for later.

Salted Caramel Chocolate TartThe fast and friendly service ensure your precious minutes will not be wasted while waiting for your food, however the lovely relaxing atmosphere kind of makes you wish you could stay longer than a meal break.

The atmosphere on the weekends changes radically as busy workers are replaced by early morning bike riders and relaxing locals. The car spaces become more plentiful giving you a great excuse to stop and take some extra time to enjoy your weekend.
