Hidden away in a gorgeous leafy corner of Kenhurst is the Hidden Jem Café.

No, it’s not a typo, the name was created by young business owner and Kenthurst local Jemma Kassis, who was so passionate to see her dream café become a reality, that she registered the café’s business name two years before it even opened.

Hidden Jem Outdoor Seating

The café offers plentiful sections of indoor and outdoor seating, all taking advantage of the glorious surrounding bushland, and making you feel a million miles from your everyday busy life.

Local Hospitality

Jemma is passionate about creating a comfortable and friendly ‘local’ for the community and encourages her staff to interact and really get to know customers. Their hospitality makes Hidden Jem popular will all walks of life, from foodies to tradies, families to bffs.

Hidden Jem Minimalist elegant interior

The minimalist, yet elegant décor provides the perfect backdrop for their brightly coloured dishes. Each meal provides enjoyment for both your eyes and your taste buds.

Hidden Jem Salmon Bagel

Beautiful presentation

Breakfast is available all day and showcases beautifully presented works of art that are a great start to your day. The Bagel offers the perfect flavour combination of smoked salmon, salty capers and creamy avocado and cream cheese on a crunchy toasted bagel. My favourite however are the Pumpkin Fritters. Light and fluffy balls of deliciousness with egg and haloumi to remind you it’s a breakfast dish.

Cafe favourites with unique flavours

Lunch is served from 11:30am and yields a wonderful variety of burgers, seafood, pasta and salads. The Salt & Pepper Squid are a ‘must-try’ due to the strawberry ginger and chilli relish, while the Prawn Saganaki is the best comfort food on a cool day. Hearty appetites will love the Beef Brisket Burger with a generous helping of juicy slow cooked beef, topped with several crunchy onion rings along with cheese, lettuce, and a unique smoked chilli BBQ sauce.

Pretty desserts with hidden treasure

Their Dessert dishes are as pretty as they are scrumptious, and very hard to choose from. The Belgium Waffles offer the tempting cubes of Turkish delight and ‘grown-up’ Persian Fairy Floss, while the signature Hidden Jem has an actual hidden treat for you to find among your Crepes and Coconut Cream.

Hidden Jem Dessert - can you find the hidden gem?

Their coffee comes from Ruby Little – a boutique coffee company creating their own blend with chocolate and hazelnut notes. While local Baking Company, Covered in Crumbs, supply the majority of sweet treats found in the display cabinet.
