Markets Food Fest launch by Aussie Night Markets September 16th from 4pm

Over 50 food markets stalls are set to descend on ‘The Village Green’ this Friday bringing great food to the centre of Blacktown.

With the majority of stalls focused on international food, this is a new and exciting activity for Friday night diners in the area.

Stall holders include Bar B Skew, Mate Burger, Diego’s Bite Sized Donuts along with a huge range of Mediterranean, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Sri Lankan and Lebanese cuisines, and plenty of sugary desserts!

The council are trialling the markets for three months, but expect it to bring a new level of activity to the area at a usually quiet time of the week.

Trevor Oldfield, president of the Greater Blacktown Business Chamber welcomes a change to the area saying, “Things like night markets are proven in other cities to bring a sense of life to the city. People are travelling from Blacktown to Parramatta for the night-life. At some point we need to lift our fame and clean ourselves up. From a personal point of view, it’s a great thing for the city.”
